Early Christian tradition often involved informal gatherings of communities around potluck meals where conversations about scripture and the life, death, and resurrection could take place. Bread and wine would be reserved from these meals and these would then be used for Holy Communion.

We engage with the story of the Last Supper following  similar pattern of having a potluck meal that includes conversation around the scripture, the stories about this particular meal, which will be followed by Holy Communion.
